The Ocicat is a small cat that resembles the South American
wild cat Ocelot, however, it is a pet. This breed arose, we can say, by chance,
by crossing two domestic cats.
This happened when a breeder named Virginia Daly crossed in
1964. Siamese cat and Abyssinian. Each of the pets had a
peculiar color, however, the resulting result did not fully suit Virginia and
she crossed one of the kittens with a Siamese cat.
