Singapore Cat
What is the History of Singaporean Cat?
The Singapore cat is one of the tiniest
aboriginal cat breeds in the world. an associate adult typically weighs 2-3 weight units. Trace the history of these animals is quite
difficult since they originated from street cats living in Singapore.
Accordingly, they may be hundreds of years old, and it is completely unknown
how they got to Asia, from whom they descended and with whom they mated for
centuries.
However, one thing can be stated for sure - today only one
possible color of these cats is officially recognized all over the world.
Although, it is known for certain that in their homeland Singapore cats can
have a variety of shades and their combinations.
Their golden-cream color is called sepia agouti, and it is
truly charming. The first who consciously decided to engage in breeding this
breed are Tommy and Hal Meadow. They brought a few specimens from Southeast
Asia around the early seventies. Somewhat later, it was in 1980 that cats
attracted the attention of Barbara Gilbertson, a well-known breeder at that
time.
She brought 2 additional such animals from
Singapore with a brown ticking and failed to stop there, bit by bit increasing
the number of people in her kennel over the subsequent years. Barbara, just
like the initial 2 felinologists, experimented by crossing Singaporean cats.
Burmese, Siamese, a house cat, and blue breeds. This bore fruit, ANd in 1987 the
breed was initially seen by cat lovers at an exhibition in Belgique. Today,
crossing with different breeds is strictly prohibited. The first official
recognition came in 1979 from the Federation of Felinologists TICA, and in 1982
the breed was recognized by the yank Felinological Federation CFA. Further, the
Singaporean breed was recognized by the International Felinological Federation
WCF. But the flute federation refuses to acknowledge this breed, despite the
very fact that in 1991 the Singapore authorities assigned it the standing of a
national treasure.

What is the Description of a Singapore aboriginal cat?
Singapore is an aboriginal cat with an ancient history and
stunning color. They are able to become truly close to their master, wonderful
friends, and ideal companions for the whole family. Despite their small size,
they are excellent mousetraps, although such a rare breed is rarely used for
such purposes.
Their muzzle is sometimes able to accurately convey the
emotional state, in combination with expressive eyes. The build is correct, the
ears are slightly elongated, the back has an arcuate outline. Life expectancy
is on average 12 - 15 years.
What is the Personality of Singapore Cat?
Singaporeans are incredibly kind and cute creatures, it is
difficult to find a cat more loving and devoted to its owner. The character of
the Singapore cat is beautiful, they are non-confrontational, have softness and
tolerantly perceive literally everyone. It doesn't matter if your friends come
to visit you, or you want to get a dog (taking into account the fact that the
dog should be friendly to cats), the Singapore cat will treat everyone equally.
It doesn't mean, equally bad, it means equally good. The maximum is neutral.
They are devoid of aggression or negative perception of the
situation. This allows Singaporeans to get along just fine even with young
children. This breed is active throughout life, loves to play with family
members, but can find entertainment without your help. These cats are very
inquisitive and intelligent, their huge eyes seem to constantly peer into every
person and every situation.
Intelligence and dedication allow you to quickly understand
what the owner wants from them and even memorize some commands, which is a
rarity among cats in general. Also, the Singapore cat is neutral in water and
has good hunting instincts.
What are the common
diseases in the Singapore cat breed?
The Singapore cat has had excellent health since the formation
of the breed occurred in natural conditions. Even taking into account the
breeding programs of American breeders, which we described above. That is, the
main thing is that the owner does not independently create problems for his
pet, poor-quality nutrition, and improper care.
How to take Care of a Singapora Cat?
Traditionally, it is believed that these cats should be
bathed rarely. However, here breeders disagree since the conditions of the pet
play an important role. It can be said that bathing can be carried out up to
twice a year, if the Singaporean lives in an apartment, clean and tidy. At the
same time, with such a rare bath, you will need to periodically use wet wipes
in certain areas, especially if the cat sleeps with you in bed.
On the other hand, a normal attitude to water allows you to
bathe them much more often, especially if you live in a private house and the
animal has permanent access to the street. Otherwise, no special procedures
are required. It is enough to comb the hair once a month, trim the claws and
clean the ears. Do not forget about brushing your teeth, at least a couple of
times a week
