Minskin is a rare and unique breed of cats in its own way.
Actually, it was created in order to stand out very much on the general
background, having extremely unusual external features. First, they are
hairless cats, and secondly, they have very short legs. Because of these
characteristic traits, they are sometimes called "bald tasa-cat."
The breeder from Boston, USA, Paul McSorley, originally
wanted to bring out a breed that could surprise at first sight, and he
undoubtedly succeeded. To achieve such results, Paul crossed Sphinx and munchkin -
the first, as it is known, carry the gene of hairlessness, and the second - the
gene of short legs. As a result, it turned out to be such an unusual breed, and
called it Minsk.
The breeding program also used the breed Devon Rex and Burmese.
In fact, work on the Minsk breed is still underway to this day. The first
kitten appeared in 2000 and got the name, Rory. These are really rare cats - in
2012 there were about a hundred of these pets all over the world. Accordingly,
you can imagine how much one such baby costs.
To date, the breed is recognized by the teleological
federation TICA as an experimental one. Now the organization TICA has even a
special program that monitors the breeding and development of cats of the
Minskin breed. Since 2008, this breed of cats is allowed to participate in
exhibitions.

little longer. Cats can be of different colors, from monochrome to striped.
Paws are short, there are folds on the skin, the eyes are large, the muzzle is
wedge-shaped. Life expectancy is 12-15 years.

The appearance of these animals is very unusual, it is true,
but inside it is all the same affectionate and kind cats. They are very focused
on the people with whom they live and try to spend as much time as possible
with their hosts. It is impossible to leave alone for a long time, or,
especially, somewhere for a long time to leave, leaving the pet in someone's
care. For him, it may be too painful, and therefore, it is better to take a pet
with him.
The breed of cats Minskin likes to play a variety of games and willingly spends time with children. Of course, the child must be taught
the correct treatment of the cat, as the unusual body structure involves a
number of restrictions. In particular, these cats in any case should not be
thrown on the floor, as they have short legs, and the mechanism of correct
landing works only partially, because of which injuries are possible.
On the other hand, Minskin is happy to spend time in a cat's
house with various ladders and crossings. Make sure that he had ladders and
some pieces of furniture, but high cabinets are best avoided because of the
danger of falling. Cat Minskin can make friends with almost any pet if not
meets aggression.

Since the breed is very new, as well as small, it is not

days to prune the claws and monitor the cleanliness of the ears and eyes. When

these cats is quite sensitive.
